Below are descriptions of my relevant teaching roles and responsibilities during the last five years. All experiences I taught as awhile at Yale University, Albertus Magnus College, and the Putney Student Travel high school program.

Introduction to Latin American Studies II, Yale University

Survey Course of Literature and Political Movements in the Spanish-Speaking World from 1800 to the Present. A required lecture for all Yale undergraduates majoring in Latin American Studies. I adapted a common departmental syllabus by adjusting the course readings, and created all classroom materials, activities, and assessments.

The Latin American Short Story, Albertus Magnus College

I served as an adjunct instructor at Albertus Magnus College and taught this survey course of Latin American short stories. I designed the syllabus, selected the readings, and created all classroom materials, assessments, and activities. This was an optional course for majors and minors in Spanish.

Intermediate Spanish II, Yale University

Undergraduate class, introducing students to reading full novels and discussing literary, historical, and philosophical questions. Conducted entirely in Spanish. Course has a common syllabus for all instructors. I created all classroom materials as well as activities and graded all student work.

Intermediate Spanish I, Yale University

Undergraduate class aiming at refining students’ language skills through the study of short stories, films, and plays. Conducted entirely in Spanish. Course has a common syllabus for all instructors. I created all classroom materials as well as activities and graded all student work.

Elementary Spanish II, Yale University

Undergraduate class developing all four language skills and introducing students to the cultural features of diverse Spanish-speaking communities, through songs, movie clips, and poems. Conducted entirely in Spanish. Course has a common syllabus for all instructors. I created all classroom materials as well as activities and graded all student work.

Study Abroad Program Leader and Instructor

Language Learning Argentina, Putney Student Travel

Coordinated and led a four-week language immersion and service work trip through Buenos Aires and the interior of Argentina for 16 high schoolers from the US. I was responsible for arranging accommodations, food, travel, and activities for the participants as well as planning language instruction opportunities and managing a program budget.
